Aurangabad Gets New Street Lights

The CIDCO administration has launched a series of development projects in the Waluj Mahanagar area, marking a significant shift in its approach to local infrastructure. A key highlight of these efforts is the recent installation of street lights, which aims to enhance safety and visibility throughout the neighborhood at night. This initiative comes after years of advocacy from the CIDCO Waluj Mahanagar Bachao Kruti Samiti, which has been vocal about the need for basic amenities in the region. For years, residents faced numerous challenges due to the lack of street lighting, which contributed to frequent accidents on poorly maintained, pothole-ridden roads. The situation was particularly dire during the rainy season when water-filled potholes obscured hazards. Additionally, the absence of adequate lighting led to increased criminal activity, including theft and chain snatching, creating an unsafe environment, especially for women. The persistent efforts of the Samiti have finally borne fruit, as the administration has begun addressing these long-standing issues. The newly installed street lights are strategically placed in key areas, including CIDCO Waluj Mahanagar – 1, Khinvasara Town, and around local schools. Furthermore, Hi-Mast and MIG lamps have been set up in various neighborhoods, significantly improving nighttime safety. Residents have expressed their appreciation for the administration's responsiveness to their needs, viewing these developments as a positive step towards enhancing the quality of life in Waluj Mahanagar.
