Midea unveils hands-free ice-and-water dispenser at IFA 2025

During the IFA 2025 event, which recently took place, major appliance maker Midea announced a groundbreaking innovation in refrigerator technology. The Midea Chill Master smart refrigerator is set to change how consumers interact with their appliances by incorporating a hands-free ice-and-water dispenser. This new feature consists of a 4-in-1 dispenser that provides cube ice, crushed ice, chilled water, and a mix of ice and water, allowing consumers to enjoy a more streamlined experience in their kitchens. The dispenser is designed with a unique moving nozzle that adjusts to the height of various containers, which minimizes the risk of spills while filling. Consumers can easily select their desired output by pressing a button and then place their glass on the base for automatic filling—eliminating the need to hold the glass while it fills. In addition to the Chill Master, Midea also showcased several other refrigerator series during the event, including the Insta-Fit Master, Space Master, and Smart Master series. The Insta-Fit series focuses on transforming refrigerators into connected hubs for healthier and more sustainable living, while the Space Master series optimizes storage capacity without increasing the physical footprint of the appliances. This allows customers to enjoy 443 liters of storage alongside a 130-liter freezer. Alternatively, the A-Class Smart Master series aims to enhance food storage through intelligent management and AI features, combining luxury aesthetics with practicality.
