Willie Nelson and Son Micah to Release Joint Album

Willie Nelson, the iconic 91-year-old musician, is preparing to release a special album titled *Last Leaf on the Tree*, in collaboration with his youngest son, Micah. The album, set to debut on November 1, showcases the deepening bond between the father-son duo as they have spent significant time together in the studio. Willie, who has seven children, has always shared a close relationship with Micah, but their musical project has brought them even closer. Micah, 34, has taken on the role of producer for the album, contributing not only his production skills but also his talent on various instruments. He described his approach to the project as that of a "sculptor," emphasizing the hard work and dedication both he and his father have put into the album. The collection will feature original songs from Willie as well as contributions from renowned artists like Tom Waits and Neil Young, highlighting the collaborative spirit of the project. In addition to his production role, Micah showcases his versatility by playing over two dozen instruments on the album, including guitars, pianos, and even unconventional items like sticks and branches. This eclectic mix reflects the innovative nature of their collaboration and the creative environment they have fostered together. Despite recent health concerns that led Willie to sit out the early dates of his Outlaw Music Festival Tour, he is expected to make a swift recovery and rejoin the tour. The festival, featuring performances from notable artists such as Bob Dylan and Robert Plant, is scheduled to conclude on September 20 in Gilford, New Hampshire.
