Protests erupt in Mongolia over prime minister's corruption allegations

Mongolia, a landlocked democracy in northern Asia, is currently experiencing significant political turmoil sparked by allegations against Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene and his family regarding their lavish displays of wealth amid rising living costs. Over the past two weeks, young citizens have been rallying in the streets of the capital, Ulaanbaatar, demanding the resignation of Oyun-Erdene, with their protests reflecting widespread dissatisfaction due to economic hardships and inflation exacerbated by the ongoing impact of Russia's war in Ukraine.
