In Louisville, Kentucky, on December 11, 2024, Pillar, a leading social service agency, announced the addition of two new members to its senior leadership team. Sushil Nasta, who has over 30 years of financial experience, will serve as the Director of Finance. His background includes extensive work in hospitality and hotel management, particularly in development, construction, and financing of hotel properties. Nasta will be responsible for overseeing Pillar’s financial operations, which include billing, expense management, and financing. The second addition to the leadership team is David Schlosser, who has been appointed as the Director of Operations. Schlosser previously held the position of Chief Operations Officer at Dare to Care Food Bank, overseeing operations for a nonprofit serving a 13-county area. His role at Pillar will involve managing facility maintenance, IT, transportation, and the internal food service operation. He brings 18 years of experience in running daily operations, making him a valuable asset to the growing nonprofit. As Pillar plans to expand its services in Oldham County, where their main campus encompasses over 12 acres of developable land, building a strong leadership foundation is deemed essential. Executive Director Karri Gerdemann expressed confidence that Nasta and Schlosser’s extensive experience will help guide the organization’s financial decision-making and operations as it aims to serve an increasing number of clients. Pillar already offers various programs, including case management and behavior supports for individuals with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of promoting opportunity, choice, and community connection. The strategic staffing changes align with Pillar's goal of enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring sustainable growth as the organization prepares for increased demand in its services. With the addition of Nasta and Schlosser, Pillar aims to bolster its commitment to improving the quality of life for those it serves and further develop its facilities and programs to meet the needs of the community.
