Story

The Santa Ana Police Department has identified three young men involved in a violent stabbing incident that occurred in broad daylight on Tuesday. The suspects, 18-year-old Andrew Gonzalez, 18-year-old Eyving Vasquez, and 21-year-old Jose Mandujanofierros, were captured on video attacking a man near the intersection of Fairview Street and South Diamond Street. Witnesses reported that the assault took place around noon, with the victim attempting to defend himself as the trio surrounded him. In a desperate bid for safety, the victim managed to escape and ran towards the individual recording the incident. Police later located him near McFadden Avenue and Sullivan Street, where he was found with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen. Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority provided immediate medical assistance on the scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital. Fortunately, authorities have indicated that the victim is expected to survive his injuries. Investigators believe the altercation stemmed from a dispute that occurred earlier at a public park. The Santa Ana Police Department is urging anyone with additional information regarding the suspects or the incident to reach out to Detective G. Corona at (714) 245-8429 or via email at GCorona@santa-ana.org.
