In Canada, on March 27, 2025, Linear Minerals Corp, previously known as FE Battery Metals Corp, announced significant results from its exploratory drilling program at the Augustus Lithium Property. The company reported assays from two drill holes, LC24-93 and LC24-94, which were part of the 2024 drilling campaign that totaled 11 holes and 1,558 meters of drilling. Drill hole LC24-93 intercepted a notable 1.02 percent lithium oxide over 9.95 meters at a depth of 68.45 meters with additional anomalous values that include beryllium, cesium, gallium, rubidium, niobium, and tantalum. On the other hand, LC24-94 showed a lower grade at 0.39 percent lithium oxide over 6.9 meters at a 61.35-meter depth, also with anomalous metal values. The program is part of a broader initiative aimed at identifying lithium resources amid increasing global demand for lithium used in batteries for electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies. Quality control measures included the use of duplicates, standards, and blanks, ensuring that lab analysis was conducted by accredited laboratories to guarantee accuracy. A total of 100 drill holes have now been completed on the property, accumulating over 18,000 meters of diamond drilling. This advancement supports the company's plans to explore and develop the lithium potential of the Augustus Property in order to capitalize on the growing energy market.
