Mumbai, August 15: On the occasion of Independence Day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hoisted the national flag at the Mantralaya building and the Sahyadri Guest House, extending his greetings to the people of Maharashtra and Indians worldwide. In his address, Shinde emphasized the state government's commitment to new policies and projects aimed at enhancing Maharashtra's development, particularly in light of the upcoming state assembly elections scheduled for late 2024. In a significant announcement, CM Shinde outlined ambitious goals for the state, including the creation of 15 million jobs over the next five years. He introduced a new logistics policy projected to generate a revenue of Rs 30,000 crore during this period. Shinde underscored Maharashtra's vital role in the national economy, contributing 14 percent of India's income, and reiterated the state's dedication to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a five trillion-dollar economy. Highlighting Maharashtra's attractiveness for foreign investments, Shinde noted that these initiatives are expected to create approximately 250,000 jobs.
