A prominent British crocodile expert, Adam Britton, has been sentenced to 10 years and five months in prison in Australia after pleading guilty to multiple charges of bestiality and animal cruelty. The case has shocked the nation, revealing the extent of Britton's abuse of dozens of dogs, which went undetected for years until a crucial clue emerged from one of his videos. The zoologist, known for his work with BBC and National Geographic, was arrested in April 2022 following a search of his rural property in Darwin. During the court proceedings, Chief Justice Michael Grant described Britton's actions as "grotesque" and beyond ordinary human comprehension. The details of his crimes were so disturbing that the judge warned spectators to leave the courtroom.
