He believes it's time to revisit the characters and explore another adventure. While there is no official confirmation yet, his comments indicate ongoing discussions among the Wayans brothers regarding the project. The film White Chicks, released in 2004, follows two Black FBI agents, portrayed by Marlon and Shawn Wayans, who go undercover as wealthy white women to investigate kidnappings after a botched drug bust. The movie became a cult classic over the years, prompting continuous fan demand for a sequel. In previous interviews, Marlon has expressed a desire to bring back the comedic elements of the film and has hinted at a concept for White Chicks 2. Additionally, Marlon Wayans referenced the inspirational role that socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton played in the original film's conception. He recalled a late-night call from his brother Shawn proposing the idea after seeing a magazine cover featuring the Hiltons. Marlon reiterated the laughs that could come from creating a sequel while indicating the need for the comedy genre to thrive amid serious times. Beyond White Chicks, Marlon and Shawn Wayans have also been busy with other projects, including a reboot of the Scary Movie franchise. Marlon announced that Scary Movie 6 would be released on June 12, 2026, and he suggested that once the reboot is completed, the Wayans brothers would focus on White Chicks 2 for fans who have been keener on the comedic escapade.
