On September 11, 2024, MedGenome announced the appointment of Dr. Amit Kakar as the new Chairman of its Board, effective immediately. Dr. Kakar succeeds Dr. Felix Olale, who completed a two-year term and will now focus on expanding MedGenome's business in the US and North America. Dr. Kakar has been a board member since 2022 and is currently the Managing Partner and Head of Asia at Novo Holdings, a prominent life sciences investment firm. With over three decades of experience in healthcare investing and management, Dr. Kakar's leadership is expected to provide strategic direction for MedGenome's growth. His previous roles include significant positions at Avenue Capital and GE Healthcare, where he gained extensive knowledge of the healthcare sector across various regions. His expertise will be crucial as MedGenome aims to enhance its genomic research and diagnostics solutions.
