On December 13, 2024, AEG's ASCSC Foundation hosted its 11th annual Women in Entertainment Luncheon in Carson, California, gathering over 250 women from various industries including film, television, music, sports, and fashion. The sold-out event was presented by the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, Inc. (NABFEME Los Angeles) and Women Helping Women in Entertainment, supported by notable sponsors such as City National Bank, Coca-Cola, Los Angeles Sparks, and Sony Music. The luncheon was designed not only to celebrate women's accomplishments but also to promote empowerment and collaboration among attendees. Tamala Lewis, Senior Director of Community Relations & Foundation at Dignity Health Sports Park, emphasized the importance of solidarity among women. Each year, the event serves as a reminder of the significant impact that support and amplified voices can have on progress in various industries. A highlight of the event was a panel discussion moderated by Pat Shields from Black Dot, LLC, which featured accomplished female executives including Fabiola Torres, Global Chief Marketing Officer of GAP; Nichol T. Whiteman, Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation; and Natalie White, Vice President of Community Relations & Social Impact of Los Angeles Sparks, among others. They shared insights on their career trajectories, discussing both challenges and successes they faced while navigating their professional paths. The event also recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to uplifting women in their fields. Areva Martin, a CNN Contributor and Award-Winning Civil Rights Attorney, along with Attica and Tembi Locke, executive producers of Netflix's limited series "From Scratch," were honored for their leadership and commitment to empowering women in the industry. The celebration included a live performance by GRAMMY-nominated artist Angie Fisher and DJ Iesha Irene, further enhancing the atmosphere of empowerment and unity that permeated the event.
