The 2024 Arizona Fall League will feature many of baseball's top prospects, including notable sluggers like Jac Caglianone, Moises Ballesteros, Xavier Isaac, and Bryce Eldridge. Caglianone, selected sixth overall by the Kansas City Royals in the 2024 MLB Draft, had an impressive collegiate season, hitting 35 home runs and achieving a .415 batting average at the University of Florida. Despite his small stature, he is recognized for his powerful hitting but needs improvement in his defensive skills behind the plate. Eldridge, a 19-year-old outfielder, was signed by the San Francisco Giants and has shown promise by advancing through four levels to Triple-A in 2024. He had a solid overall performance with a .289 batting average, 23 home runs, and 91 RBIs in 116 games. However, his season was marred by a foot injury that limited his playtime. Other young talents participating in the league include shortstops Leodalis De Vries and Colt Emerson, as well as outfielders Zyhir Hope and Luis Lara. The Arizona Fall League will also see the return of several players who participated in MLB's Spring Breakout and the All-Star Futures Game earlier in the year. The league is structured into various teams representing different MLB franchises, providing a platform for these prospects to showcase their skills. Special events during the fall league include a tripleheader on October 19 and the AFL HR Derby and Fall Stars Game on November 8 and 9, respectively. These events highlight the league's role in developing young talent and preparing them for potential Major League careers.
