- The introduction of the IMMERSIO™ XM28 and the establishment of the XING Paradigm Factory signify XING Mobility's commitment to advancing electric vehicle technology and sustainability.
XING Mobility, a leader in immersion cooling battery technology, launched its latest product, the IMMERSIO™ XM28, at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover, Germany, from September 17 to 22. This new battery system is designed specifically for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, building on the success of the previous model, the IMMERSIO™ XM25, introduced in 2019. The IMMERSIO™ XM28 features advanced ternary lithium chemistry, which allows it to achieve twice the energy density of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, thereby optimizing space and enhancing performance. The innovative design of the IMMERSIO™ XM28 not only doubles the range of electric commercial vehicles but also extends battery lifespan and reduces costs, making it an attractive option for the growing market. The battery incorporates active thermal runaway suppression technology, which rapidly cools battery cells, ensuring safety and stability during operation. This technology has already been validated in real-world applications, such as the Nordic Booster's Hummingbird® fast charging station. XING Mobility has also established the XING Paradigm Factory in Taiwan, the world's first dedicated facility for the mass production of immersion cooling batteries. This factory aims to support global expansion and facilitate the rapid replication of production lines, thereby driving advancements in electrification and sustainable solutions in collaboration with industry partners. The company has garnered significant interest from potential customers, including a partnership with Cruise X to develop a 4.5-ton electric truck, showcasing the versatility of its technology and accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in logistics.
