LIBERTY, Mo., Aug. 16, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Ferrellgas Partners, L.P., a prominent propane logistics company, has announced the awarding of scholarships to 14 students as they prepare for the upcoming fall semester. The initiative aims to support students and their families, reinforcing the company's commitment to education and community involvement. Since its inception in 1992, the Ferrellgas Scholarship Program has provided financial assistance to the dependent children of employees from Ferrellgas and its subsidiary, Blue Rhino. To qualify for the scholarships, applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, participate in school activities, and meet specific financial criteria. Over the years, the program has awarded more than 200 scholarships to deserving students. This year’s recipients include Kyra Arneson from Grand Canyon University, majoring in Nursing; Alannah Hair from Avila University, also in Nursing; and Josie Hughes from Midway University, who is pursuing Animal/Veterinary Sciences. Other notable recipients are Nevaeh Johnson from Pennsylvania State University, majoring in International Politics, and Valeria Magana from Reedley College, focusing on Civil Engineering. Ferrellgas President and CEO Tamria Zertuche expressed pride in the company’s role in facilitating educational opportunities for these students.
