Quontay Spinks Faces Murder Charges in Baltimore Shooting

On September 14, 2024, a shooting occurred in the Harbour East neighborhood of Baltimore, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Antonio Peoples. The incident took place near two restaurants, The Ruxton and Azumi, located on the 700 block of Aliceanna Street. After the shooting, residents expressed shock due to the area's frequent police presence and security patrols. Quontay Spinks, a 19-year-old from Washington, Maryland, was subsequently arrested on November 1 and charged with murder. Following the incident, community members noted that while they felt safe in the area, the shooting raised concerns about safety in neighborhoods typically perceived as secure.
