Kitten rescued from drain pipe in Milwaukee after 5 days

A kitten was trapped in a drain pipe in Milwaukee for five days, prompting a community effort for its rescue. However, after a TMJ4 reporter intervened, a different crew arrived and worked for nearly 20 minutes to cut a hole in the pipe large enough for the kitten to escape. The rescue team utilized various methods, including string, meowing sounds, and treats, to coax the kitten out. The kitten, now named Piper, was finally rescued and is receiving care from the animal rescue group. Megan Jordan, a board member of Chained Dogs MKE, expressed the emotional fulfillment of rescuing an innocent animal from distressing circumstances. The group is now seeking donations to support Piper's ongoing care and to restore the homeowner's lawn that was disturbed during the rescue efforts.
