NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans will be without cornerback Chidobe Awuzie for a couple of weeks during training camp due to a calf injury, as confirmed by head coach Brian Callahan on Thursday. Awuzie, a significant free agent acquisition this offseason, is currently sidelined but remains present at camp. His absence is a notable setback for the Titans as they work to solidify their revamped cornerback lineup alongside L’Jarius Sneed. In response to the injury, the Titans have added outside linebacker Shane Ray, a former first-round pick of the Denver Broncos, who previously participated in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. Additionally, the team has re-signed center Corey Levin, a 2017 draft pick who has spent the last three seasons with the Titans. To make room for these additions, the Titans waived undrafted rookie running back Dillon Johnson. Meanwhile, outside linebacker Harold Landry has also missed the first two days of training camp due to illness. Callahan indicated that Landry will be gradually reintegrated into practice once he is cleared to return. The Titans are taking a cautious approach with their players, particularly with Sneed, who is on a management plan to monitor his workload during camp. Sneed, acquired in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, expressed his commitment to adapting to the Titans' training regimen, stating, “They have a plan for me,” as he aims to balance his participation in practice.
