YouGov poll reveals William and Kate as Britain’s favorite royals

A recent YouGov survey has revealed that Prince William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are the most favored members of the British royal family, with 75% of respondents expressing a positive view of them. Princess Anne follows closely with a 71% favorability rating. In contrast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are viewed unfavorably by a significant portion of the public, with 60% and 63% negative opinions, respectively. Prince Andrew is the least popular royal, with 87% of respondents holding a negative view of him. King Charles III, who has been on the throne for nearly two years, enjoys a favorability rating of 63%, although younger adults show less support for him. Despite mixed opinions on individual royals, the monarchy as an institution remains supported by the majority of the British public. Approximately 63% of respondents view the royal family positively, and 59% have a favorable opinion of the monarchy itself. This indicates a strong underlying support for the institution, even as some members face criticism. The survey results reflect a broader sentiment among the British public regarding the monarchy's future. Two-thirds of respondents believe the UK should maintain a monarchy, while a quarter prefer an elected head of state. This suggests that while individual royals may fluctuate in popularity, the institution of the monarchy continues to hold significant value in British society.
