Microsoft establishes quantum research center in Maryland

In early 2023, Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced that Microsoft would open a quantum research center near the University of Maryland, located in the state's Discovery District in College Park. This initiative is part of a broader effort to transform Maryland into a significant center for quantum science and technology.
