Story

Olympus Corporation has been selected to showcase its latest EVIS X1 Endoscopy System at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange, scheduled for September 18, 2024, in Las Vegas. This event is organized by Vizient, Inc., the largest provider-driven healthcare performance improvement company in the U.S., and offers a platform for suppliers to present innovative products to healthcare leaders. The EVIS X1 system is designed to enhance the detection and treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders, featuring advanced visualization technologies and lighter control sections for improved usability. The system includes four compatible endoscopes: diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopes, a gastroscope, and a colonoscope. Notably, the ErgoGrip control section of the gastroscope and colonoscope is 10% lighter than previous models, which may enhance physician comfort during procedures. The video system center incorporates five LEDs and four visualization technologies, including Texture and Color Enhancement Imaging and Narrow Band Imaging, to assist in visualizing anatomical structures more effectively. Jay Sullivan, Group Vice President at Olympus, expressed enthusiasm about participating in the Exchange, highlighting the opportunity for healthcare providers to engage with products that could significantly impact clinical care. Kelly Flaharty from Vizient emphasized the importance of the Innovative Technology Program, which reviews supplier-submitted technologies to ensure they meet the needs of healthcare providers. This event not only showcases Olympus' commitment to advancing medical technology but also reflects the ongoing efforts within the healthcare industry to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies through innovative solutions.
