Arozarena, despite a challenging season with a batting average of .211 and 15 home runs, remains a highly sought-after player due to his impressive performances in high-pressure situations, including the 2020 AL Championship Series and the 2023 World Baseball Classic. The Mariners are in urgent need of a boost, having lost eight of their last nine games and relinquishing a once-comfortable lead in the AL West. After holding a 10-game advantage on June 18, they now find themselves trailing the Houston Astros. The team is also grappling with injuries to key players, including center fielder Julio Rodriguez and shortstop J.P. Crawford.
