In Colombia, Ecopetrol S.A. announced significant changes in its senior management on December 16, 2024. Germán González Reyes, who has held the position of Secretary General since September 29, 2023, and Acting Director of Institutional Relations and Communications since June 28, 2024, will continue in his roles until January 17, 2025. Following this transitional period, the Board of Directors has made key appointments for acting positions effective January 18, 2025. Cristina Toro Restrepo, serving as Corporate Legal Vice President, will take over as Acting Secretary General until a permanent replacement is appointed. She possesses extensive expertise in various legal sectors, including commercial law, tax legislation, and energy mining law. Additionally, Rodolfo García Paredes will become Acting Corporate Legal Vice President, also starting January 18, 2025. He has been with Ecopetrol for over 20 years and has specialized in hydrocarbons legal management. Lastly, Diana Marcela Jiménez will assume the role of Acting Director of Institutional Relations and Communications, bringing two decades of experience in various executive roles in similar capacities. The restructuring aims to fill critical positions amid ongoing operations and management transitions. The appointment of Jaime Andrés García as the main legal representative for procurement of goods and services further supports the company's strategic goals and operational continuity.
