Vallejo police have apprehended a suspect linked to a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month at a local business. The incident took place around 9:45 a.m. on August 1 in the 2000 block of Solano Avenue, where a man was shot inside a commercial establishment. Officers arrived promptly, providing initial aid to the victim until medical personnel could take over. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries on August 3, marking him as the 15th homicide victim in Vallejo for 2024. In a statement released on Thursday, authorities identified the suspect as 47-year-old Fenton Warren, a resident of Vallejo. Following the investigation, police secured a warrant for Warren's arrest, leading to his capture by a SWAT team on Wednesday in the 200 block of Couch Street. The arrest was executed without incident, and Warren has since been booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of murder.
