Kyle Sandilands, the 53-year-old radio personality, has put his luxurious bushland retreat on the market for $2.9 million. The decision comes as he and his family, including their two-year-old son Otto, seek a location closer to Sydney, citing concerns about crocodiles in the Port Douglas area. Sandilands expressed his desire for a safer environment for his son, emphasizing the challenges of beach outings in the region. The property, built in 2000, is situated on a hilltop surrounded by lush rainforest, featuring spacious interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase breathtaking views. Key highlights of the home include a wet edge pool with panoramic vistas, a gourmet kitchen with a large breakfast island, and a master bedroom complete with a private deck, decorative pond, walk-in wardrobe, and ensuite bathroom. In addition to selling his retreat, Sandilands has ambitious plans for a new $3 million mansion in Glenorie, located 43 kilometers from Sydney's CBD. The 1970s-era home boasts eight bedrooms and five bathrooms. While he has been tight-lipped about specific renovation plans, he has confirmed extensive building work is underway, including a complete interior demolition and a fresh white paint job for the exterior. Sandilands, who also purchased a $13.8 million mansion in Bellevue Hill in 2022, continues to expand his impressive property portfolio. He resides in his stunning home with his wife, Tegan Kynaston, and their son, Otto, enjoying the lavish amenities it offers.
