Local Hitman Advertises Chaos in Paint Store

In a sleepy town, rookie cop Will, played by Himesh Patel, embarks on his first day of patrol alongside his cynical partner Terry, portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. While Terry engages in illicit activities, Will responds to a suspected robbery, leading to a chaotic encounter with a homeowner that results in bloodshed. To cover their tracks, Terry helps Will stage the scene, discovering a bag containing $1 million in cash, which they plan to use to support their fabricated story. The house belongs to Wallace, a local seafood entrepreneur with his own secrets, including his wife's affair with a masseur. As the police chief, Murphy, played by Uzo Aduba, begins to suspect foul play, the duo's plan spirals into a web of deception and chaos. The film, while featuring a strong cast, struggles to maintain suspense and believability, particularly with the absurdity of a hitman advertising in a paint store, ultimately failing to deliver a coherent noir experience.
