Actor Iwan Rheon, renowned for his role in *Game of Thrones*, has joined the cast of the upcoming series *Those About To Die*, set in ancient Rome. Rheon was initially excited to work alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins, who portrays Emperor Vespasian, but was disheartened to discover that their characters do not share any scenes. Speaking on BBC Radio Wales, the 39-year-old actor from Carmarthen expressed his disappointment, stating, "Probably the only character in the whole show that my character doesn't have a scene with - which is devastating." The series, which takes place in 79 AD amidst a food crisis and ongoing construction of the Colosseum, features Rheon in the role of Tenax. Upon reading the script, he quickly realized the absence of interaction with Hopkins and humorously referred to his initial reaction as a period of mourning. Despite his request to director Roland Emmerich for a scene with the esteemed actor being declined, Rheon remains enthusiastic about the project. Rheon praised Hopkins' performance, calling it "amazing" to have him in the show. He also expressed his enjoyment of the character Tenax, noting his ability to navigate various situations for personal gain. Rheon hopes that as the series progresses, viewers will begin to empathize with his character, stating, "Hopefully by the end of the series people start to root for him."
