Lewis Parkin, a 23-year-old man, was found fatally injured at the west end of Hindley Street in Adelaide's CBD shortly before 8 PM on Friday. Despite being rushed to the hospital by first responders, he succumbed to his injuries. The police arrested a 42-year-old male suspect from St Marys, located several kilometers away from the scene, after he was discovered near the River Torrens. Authorities report that the suspect left the apartment complex before emergency services arrived. The relationship between the two men indicates that this was not a random act of violence, and both individuals were acquainted. The suspect has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 11, 2024.
