Founders Metals hits high-grade gold at Upper Antino in Suriname
- Founders Metals Inc. announces significant drill core assay results from the Antino Gold Project.
- Drilling at Upper Antino shows high-grade gold mineralization, including 33.0 meters of 3.50 g/t gold.
- Positive results could enhance investor interest and further exploration plans for the Company.
In southeastern Suriname, Founders Metals Inc. announced significant drill core assay results from its Antino Gold Project on May 21, 2025. The recent exploration demonstrated notable gold mineralization at Upper Antino, particularly highlighting a drilling result of 33.0 meters with an impressive grade of 3.50 grams per tonne of gold. Other significant intervals reported include 19.0 meters of 0.84 g/t Au in hole FR114, 13.0 meters of 2.00 g/t Au in FR082, and 4.0 meters of 5.92 g/t Au in FR105. These findings indicate a substantial growth potential of gold mineralization in the project's various parallel structures. Colin Padget, President & CEO of Founders Metals, emphasized that the drilling results indicate significant growth potential for the Upper Antino site, noting that the mineralization continues to extend eastward and has recently expanded the northern boundary by 125 meters. The Company’s assessment of drill hole FR114 suggests it will be crucial for targeting further eastward growth of gold mineralization, which could link Froyo with another target known as Donut. The drilling plan aims to fully evaluate the considerable potential of multiple mineral zones as identified in the results. The exploration and assay results were conducted by FILAB Suriname, a Bureau Veritas Certified Laboratory. The samples underwent a rigorous process which included a 50-gram fire assay and an Atomic Absorption finish, ensuring robust quality assurance and control for the results. The technical content of this announcement was validated by Michael Dufresne, an independent qualified person, ensuring compliance with National Instrument 43-101 standards. With gold prices continuing to rise, these substantial findings potentially set the stage for further investments and development in the Antino Gold Project. Overall, this announcement illustrates a promising advancement for Founders Metals, reflecting its commitment to identifying and expanding gold resources in the region. The consequences of these findings may result in increased interest from investors and a more extensive exploration strategy in the weeks and months to come, fostering a competitive edge in the surging gold mining sector.
