Story

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal is actively pursuing Manchester City defenders Kyle Walker and João Cancelo, along with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, as part of their efforts to strengthen their defense. Initially, Al-Hilal had set their sights on Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, but the full-back has shown no interest in a transfer to Saudi Arabia. The club is particularly focused on right-backs to fill the void left by Saud Abdulhamid, who has garnered interest from both Reims and Roma, with the latter reportedly making an offer. Walker, who has previously considered a move abroad, was linked to Bayern Munich last summer before opting to extend his contract with City until 2026. However, City management has indicated they are not looking to sell the England international. Meanwhile, Cancelo, who spent the last season and a half on loan at Bayern and Barcelona, was omitted from the squad for City's recent victory over Chelsea. Manager Pep Guardiola has suggested that while Cancelo could return to the first team, a transfer might be beneficial for all involved. In other transfer news, Nottingham Forest's bid of €25 million (£21 million) for Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez has been rejected. The Dutch club is keen to retain the Mexican forward, who has an impressive record of 40 goals in 64 Eredivisie matches, as they prepare for their Champions League campaign. Feyenoord is reportedly seeking a fee exceeding €30 million to consider selling Giménez.
