Story

Beyoncé has unveiled her latest venture, a new American whiskey line named SirDavis, in collaboration with Moët Hennessy, a subsidiary of LVMH. This announcement follows her recent successes, including a chart-topping country album and a haircare line. The whiskey, which features a blend of 51 percent rye and 49 percent malted barley, was developed under the guidance of master distiller Bill Lumsden, known for his work with Scotland’s Glenmorangie and Ardbeg. The packaging will include horse medallions, paying homage to Texas's Wild West heritage. The inspiration for SirDavis came from a personal anecdote shared by Beyoncé, who recounted how her friend Hogue would hide whiskey bottles in cedar trees for family and friends to discover. In a press release, she expressed her connection to the project, stating, “Wheels in the gravel, Davis in my bones.” This new product follows her previous release, Cécred, a haircare line that combines traditional practices with modern science, reflecting her personal journey with hair care influenced by her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson. As celebrity alcohol brands gain traction, with notable successes like George Clooney’s Casamigos tequila, Beyoncé’s entry into the market is highly anticipated. SirDavis whiskey is set to launch in September across major cities including the US, London, Paris, and Tokyo, marking another significant milestone in the artist's diverse entrepreneurial portfolio.
