Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the country’s largest Tricolor will be hoisted at Upper Lake in Bhopal on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day celebrations. This announcement was made during the Tiranga Yatra held at the Boat Club, where prominent figures including BJP state president VD Sharma and Bhopal MP Alok Sharma were in attendance. The event featured a special water sports show, showcasing athletes from the Madhya Pradesh Sports Academy who participated by displaying the Tricolor on boats. During his address, CM Yadav emphasized the heightened sense of patriotism associated with the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, which has been initiated nationwide in honor of Independence Day. He expressed hope that the Tricolor, prominently displayed at the Boat Club, would remain unblemished by negativity. The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the public, highlighting the significance of the event in fostering national pride. In addition to the Tiranga Yatra, CM Yadav inaugurated the renovated fast food corner ‘Lahar’ at the Boat Club, enhancing the venue's offerings for visitors. The Tiranga campaign is part of a broader initiative called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, encouraging citizens to display the national flag at their homes. The Tiranga Yatra also included a bike rally organized by the police department, featuring around 300 police personnel and 1,500 students and social organization members. The rally commenced from the Bhopal Commissionerate, traversing key city routes before returning to its starting point, further promoting the spirit of unity and patriotism in the community.
