Priest with Dementia Found Safe

The Santa Ana Police Department announced on Tuesday that they were seeking assistance from the public in locating an 88-year-old priest who had gone missing from a local church. Anthony Palos was last seen driving away from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Monday afternoon, prompting concern due to his age and health condition. Authorities reported that Palos was located safely in Coachella later that day. The police confirmed his safe return in a post on social media, stating that he would be reunited with his congregation. Palos had been driving a white 2016 Toyota Camry when he left the church, and investigators noted that he suffers from dementia, which raised alarms about his well-being. Described as 5-foot-8 and weighing 175 pounds, Palos has grey hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing his black priest outfit and glasses. The police had urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Detective A. Castorena or the watch commander.
