In a separate but similarly concerning case earlier in Colorado, Westminster police are investigating a deadly crash that appears to have stemmed from a road rage incident. Early one Wednesday morning, officers were called to a scene on US 36 where a three-vehicle accident had taken place. Preliminary investigations indicated that a road rage confrontation occurred between two drivers before a third vehicle, an SUV, struck one of the drivers, a 30-year-old man in a truck, who had exited his vehicle to confront the other individual. Tragically, he was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Law enforcement officials noted that alcohol may have contributed to the incident involving the truck driver, as evidence of an open container was discovered within his vehicle.
