Olof Mellberg takes charge as St. Louis City SC's new coach

Mellberg, a former defender with experience at top clubs including Aston Villa and Juventus, was chosen to replace Bradley Carnell, who was dismissed from his coaching position in July. John Hackworth had served as the team’s interim manager during the transition period. The decision to hire Mellberg is conditional on him receiving the necessary visa to work in the United States. His previous coaching roles also include stints with BK Fremad Amager and Helsingborgs IF.
