Greater Manchester Police have issued an urgent appeal for assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl named Katelan, who has been missing for over three weeks. Authorities express significant concern for her safety, as it has been 24 days since anyone has had contact with her. The police have released a new CCTV image that captures Katelan boarding a bus, which may provide crucial leads in the investigation. The CCTV footage shows Katelan leaving Durham City bus station to board the X12 bus to Middlesbrough at approximately 3:52 PM on July 23. Subsequent sightings were reported at 5:59 PM on Linthorpe Road and again at 6:26 PM on Zetland Road. The last confirmed sighting of Katelan occurred at 6:30 PM on Corporation Road on the same day she disappeared. Katelan is known to have connections to several areas, including Manchester, Bolton, Newton Aycliffe, Middlesbrough, Liverpool, Preston, Burnley, Bradford, and Halifax. Det Chief Insp Simon Turner from Durham Constabulary emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, "We believe Katelan may have travelled out of our area using public transport." Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Katelan's whereabouts to come forward and assist in the search.
