On September 10, 2024, Integrated Power Services (IPS) announced its acquisition of DUAL-Électrotech Inc., a company based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. This strategic acquisition aims to enhance IPS's power management product and service capabilities, particularly in substation engineering, maintenance, and repair services across Canada and the Northeastern United States. DUAL-Électrotech specializes in providing low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical products and services to various sectors, including electric power generation and commercial industries. Shannon Moses, IPS Executive Vice President for Power Management, emphasized that this acquisition strengthens IPS's portfolio, allowing the company to offer comprehensive solutions to its customers in industrial, commercial, utility, and renewable energy sectors. The addition of DUAL-Électrotech follows IPS's previous acquisition of Surplec, which focused on power distribution and specialty transformer services, further solidifying IPS's presence in the Canadian market. With this acquisition, IPS expands its operational network to 91 locations, which includes 51 full-service electromechanical remanufacturing centers and 23 power management remanufacturing sites. This extensive network enables IPS to serve a diverse range of customers across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Caribbean. The partnership between IPS and DUAL-Électrotech is expected to create a more robust substation offering, enhancing service delivery and innovation in the power management sector. This move positions IPS as a leading provider of integrated solutions, capable of addressing complex challenges in critical infrastructure.
