Story

In the United States, Anker has introduced its latest MagSafe-compatible power bank, which is also its slimmest model to date. This new power bank, called the Anker MagGo 5K Power Bank, is approximately one-third of an inch thick, slightly more compact than previous models. It includes a 5,000mAh battery, designed to provide efficient charging for users. However, it may not deliver two full charges to an iPhone, depending on the usage and specifications of the device. Interestingly, this power bank supports wireless charging at up to 15W using the Qi2 standard, allowing for faster charging compared to its predecessor, which had a maximum of 7.5W charging speed. One of the notable features of the device is its compatibility with iPhone models dating back to the iPhone 12, as well as various Android devices that comply with Qi2 specifications. This expands its usability across different brands and models, increasing its attractiveness to a wider audience. Customers can now purchase the Anker MagGo 5K Power Bank in two colors—blue and white—at a price of $49.95 exclusively through Apple’s online and physical retail stores. This pricing represents an increase of $10 over Anker's older MagGo 621 Magnetic Battery model, which remains available online. The new power bank also features a bidirectional USB-C port located at the bottom of the unit. This port allows users to charge the battery itself or other devices at a charging rate of 20W. However, it's important to note that when both the wireless charging capability and the USB-C port are being used simultaneously, charging speeds are reduced. The wireless output slows to 5W, and the USB-C charge rate drops to 12W, which may affect overall charging efficiency when multiple devices are connected. Overall, this product represents an advancement in Anker’s offerings, prioritizing both portability and rapid charging capabilities, catering to the needs of modern smartphone users. Anker's latest release is indicative of the growing demand for high-performance portable charging solutions that also offer convenience and compatibility with multiple devices. Consumers are increasingly relying on quick and efficient battery packs to keep their devices charged throughout the day. By enhancing their product line with the MagGo 5K Power Bank, Anker aims to meet this demand and solidify its position in the competitive market of consumer electronics accessories.
