On September 16, 2024, the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP) announced significant leadership changes aimed at enhancing its mission to empower Black communities. Tonya Tyson has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of Operations and Programs, bringing 14 years of experience in organizational management. In her new role, she will oversee the execution of national programs designed to boost civic engagement and political participation. Ebony Baylor joins the NCBCP as the Vice President of Policy and Strategic Partnerships, where she will leverage her expertise in policy advocacy to strengthen the organization’s impact. Her focus will be on building coalitions and advocating for equitable policies, particularly in areas such as voting rights and racial justice. These appointments come at a crucial time for the NCBCP, as the organization seeks to expand its reach and influence in advocating for the economic, political, and social empowerment of Black individuals across the United States.
