Story

In November 2024, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Dana Walden and The Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. announced a pivotal agreement that designates Disney as the new home for The GRAMMYS beginning in 2027. This unprecedented 10-year global deal includes simulcasting the prestigious awards show on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+, marking the first time in 50 years that a new entity will host the event. The Recording Academy will also collaborate with Disney to create additional GRAMMY-branded music specials and new programming accessible worldwide through Disney's platforms. This partnership aims to enrich The Walt Disney Company’s live event repertoire alongside existing programs like The Oscars and Dick Clark's New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and enhances The Recording Academy's outreach and initiatives for music creators globally.
