Mads Brandt Rasmussen wins FIDIC Future Leaders Award in Geneva, September 2024

Dr. Rodrigo Juárez, chair of the FIDIC Future Leaders Advisory Council, praised the high-quality submissions received from candidates worldwide, emphasizing the talent and innovation present in the industry. Rasmussen was recognized for his technical expertise and his broader contributions to society, particularly in the rail sector. His efforts have helped enhance understanding of key regulations within the industry, ensuring that engineers are well-informed about the complexities of railway projects. Additionally, he actively engages with educational institutions, sharing insights about the engineering profession to attract new graduates to the consulting engineering field. The FIDIC president, Catherine Karakatsanis, highlighted the increasing prestige of the Future Leaders Award, noting that recipients are considered future leaders to watch. Rasmussen expressed gratitude for the nomination and acknowledged the support he received from colleagues and mentors. In this year's awards, two highly commended prizes were also awarded to Rahim Ahmad from Canada and Dilini Gamage from Sri Lanka, further showcasing the global talent in the consulting engineering industry.
