Story

In San Francisco, California, a tragic high-speed collision occurred around 1:20 a.m. on a Monday, leading to the deaths of two women. The Santa Rosa resident, 21-year-old Elliot Patrick, was driving under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place. Law enforcement received reports of a vehicle collision involving injuries at the intersection of Grafton Avenue and Jules Avenue in the city's Ingleside District. Upon arrival, officers discovered two vehicles that had been severely damaged in a crash. Emergency responders worked to assist the victims, but unfortunately, both women in one of the vehicles were declared dead at the scene due to life-threatening injuries. The second vehicle involved had four adult occupants; three of them had to be hospitalized, and one of those individuals also suffered life-threatening injuries. Elliot Patrick, who was the driver of the other vehicle, was arrested at the scene after authorities confirmed he was impaired by alcohol while driving. Authorities are pursuing serious charges against him, including two counts of murder, one count of reckless driving, and three counts of driving under the influence causing injury. District Attorney Brooke Jenkins emphasized the seriousness of the situation, underscoring that the combination of drinking, speeding, and reckless driving can lead to deadly consequences. The prosecution has requested that Patrick be held in custody until trial due to the significant public safety risk his actions represent. Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
