This innovative device features a bright HDR touchscreen that allows users to control all camera functions directly from the monitor. The design includes multiple mounting points, enabling easy attachment to the camera or any rig, enhancing the user experience for focusing and framing shots. The monitor connects via a single USB-C cable, which simplifies the setup by providing video, power, and camera control through one connection. Additionally, the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor is compatible with URSA Cine cameras, transforming into a large viewfinder when mounted. It includes a removable sunshade for better visibility, a built-in tally light, and three user-assignable buttons for quick access to essential functions. This integration highlights the monitor's role as a powerful extension of the camera system. Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design, emphasized that the PYXIS Monitor is designed to enhance the filming experience by providing comprehensive camera control and flexibility in mounting options. This product aims to meet the needs of filmmakers seeking advanced monitoring solutions in various shooting environments.
