ACL invests $5 million in community care for family caregivers

On September 10, 2024, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) announced a significant investment of $5 million to enhance the Community Care Corps program, which focuses on supporting family caregivers, older adults, and individuals with disabilities aged 18 and older. This initiative aims to empower these individuals to maintain their independence and dignity within their communities by leveraging the efforts of volunteers. The Oasis Institute manages the program in collaboration with Caregiver Action Network, USAging, and Altarum, having received initial funding in 2019.
