Raekwon McMillan is making a compelling case for a significant role on the New England Patriots defense following his impressive performance in a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 27-year-old linebacker showcased his skills by leading the team with eight tackles, including one for a loss, and delivering a notable hit on Eagles receiver John Ross during a kickoff return. His efforts did not go unnoticed, as Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo praised McMillan's contributions on both special teams and defense during a Friday press conference. McMillan's journey has been marked by challenges, including a torn ACL that sidelined him during his first season with the Patriots. After starting 28 games for the Miami Dolphins in 2018 and 2019, he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020.
