Taco Bell has launched a new menu item, the Cheesy Street Chalupas, available for a limited time at participating locations across the United States. The new offering debuted on Thursday and will be sold "while supplies last," according to the Yum! Brands subsidiary. Customers can purchase the Cheesy Street Chalupas in bundles of two for a price of $5.49. The Cheesy Street Chalupas are inspired by traditional street taco ingredients, featuring fresh onions and cilantro, combined with premium proteins. These ingredients are wrapped in chalupa shells that are stuffed with melted mozzarella and pepperjack cheeses, topped with a jalapeno ranch sauce. Taco Bell aims to capture the essence of street food culture with this new item, drawing inspiration from its previous Quesalupa shell introduced eight years ago. The fast-food chain had previously tested the Cheesy Street Chalupas in October, which may make them familiar to some customers. Taco Bell operates approximately 87% of its 8,555 locations in the United States, with a presence in over 30 countries worldwide. The brand is part of Yum! Brands, which also owns KFC, Pizza Hut, and The Habit Burger Grill. In financial news, Taco Bell reported generating $598 million in revenues during the first quarter of 2024, reflecting its strong market presence and popularity among consumers.
