A criminal investigation is underway following a disturbing incident at Manchester Airport, where a police officer was recorded kicking and stamping on a man. The altercation resulted in injuries to three officers, including a female constable who sustained a broken nose. In total, four men have been arrested in connection with the incident. Catherine Bates, the regional director of the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), has met with one of the involved men and his family, promising to keep them and the police informed as the investigation progresses. In response to the incident, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham urged the community to remain calm, especially as tensions rise over the weekend. Burnham highlighted his recent visit to Rochdale, where he engaged with around 40 community members who echoed the family's call for peace. Additionally, community member Mr. Yakoob reported that the condition of one of the arrested men has deteriorated, revealing a cyst on his brain following a CT scan.
