Chase the puppy found on streets with heartbreaking note

A puppy named Chase was discovered wandering the streets of Bridgend, South Wales, with a distressing note attached to his collar. The note indicated that he was one year old and needed a new home because his owner could no longer care for him. Rescuers found him to be skittish and scared, raising concerns about how long he had been on his own. After being rescued, Chase was taken to the Hope Rescue centre in Llanharan, where he initially struggled to adjust to his new environment. Upon arrival at the rescue center, Chase exhibited signs of trauma, spending much of his time hiding in his kennel and showing reluctance to engage in activities like walks or playing with toys. The staff provided him with tender care and attention to help build his confidence. Fortunately, a foster family stepped forward, allowing him to live with two other small dogs, which has helped him begin to show his playful side. The charity expressed frustration over Chase's abandonment, acknowledging that while some people may face desperate situations, leaving a pet in such a manner is not an appropriate solution. They highlighted the potential dangers Chase faced while roaming alone, including the risk of being hit by a car. Hope Rescue is currently experiencing an influx of dogs needing homes, with Chase being one of 187 dogs that arrived at the center last month. The organization remains hopeful that Chase will find a loving forever home soon, allowing him to recover from his traumatic experience and enjoy a happy life.
