Cabral Gold announces exceptional drill results at Machichie NE in Brazil

Highlights
  • Cabral Gold Inc. reported drilling results from Machichie NE target in Brazil.
  • The RC520 drill hole returned 12m at 27.7 g/t gold, along with other high-grade prior drill results.
  • These findings suggest a significant zone of gold mineralization at Machichie NE, indicating potential for future discoveries.
Story

In Brazil, Cabral Gold Inc. made a significant announcement regarding drill results from its Machichie NE target in the Cuiú Cuiú Gold District. This announcement comes as a result of seven additional reverse circulation (RC) drill holes. Notably, hole RC520 delivered impressive results, revealing 12 meters at an average of 27.7 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from a depth of 42 meters, specifically within saprolite and altered bedrock, which included a higher-grade segment of 5 meters at 65.5 g/t gold from 49 meters depth. This specific interval is part of a broader mineralized zone that averages around 22 meters at 15.9 g/t gold. The potential of this region is further reinforced by earlier drilling in the same area. Previous drill holes, such as RC421, RC449, and DDH331, have indicated promising gold grades with results including 11 meters at 33.0 g/t gold, 6 meters at 13.3 g/t gold, and 5 meters at 24.5 g/t gold, respectively. The location of the Machichie NE target is strategically positioned approximately 150 meters northeast of the known Machichie Main gold deposit and 650 meters north of the MG gold deposit. The consistent pattern of high-grade mineralization discovered at the Machichie NE site indicates that the mineralized zone extends approximately 200 meters along its strike and remains open in all directions, including depth. Alan Carter, President and CEO of Cabral Gold, emphasized the significance of the drill results from RC520, stating that they are some of the best results the company has received from any target within the Cuiú Cuiú area. Furthermore, he expressed optimism about the prospects of making additional high-grade discoveries similar to those already documented. Brian Arkell, the company's Vice President of Exploration and Technical Services, supported this view, highlighting that both hole RC520 and RC421 feature some of the highest-grade intervals recorded at the Cuiú Cuiú property thus far. Arkell confirmed that further drilling is planned to determine the full lateral extent and the downdip plunge of the mineralization zone that remains open, giving Cadral Gold confidence in the continuity of high-grade gold within the area. Given these results and the extent of high-grade values at other targets in the Cuiú Cuiú region, Cabral Gold anticipates more discoveries in the near future. Overall, these drilling results not only demonstrate the potential for finding significant gold deposits at the Machichie NE target but also solidify Cabral Gold’s position in the competitive mining landscape of Brazil, where exploration activities may yield even more favorable discoveries in the months ahead.
