US Teens and Teachers Celebrate in Guangzhou from October 5-13

From October 5th to 13th, a delegation from the Young People's Chorus of New York City visited Guangdong Province, China, exploring cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai. This trip was designed to foster cultural exchange and strengthen ties between the youth of the United States and China. To commemorate their experiences, the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and GDToday prepared personalized posters for each participant, capturing their sentiments and well-wishes for China. The posters were well-received, with members of the chorus expressing their gratitude for the thoughtful gifts. Jamari Burrowes Davis highlighted the emotional significance of the poster, planning to frame it as a lasting memory of his time in China. Similarly, Harley Severe considered gifting her poster to her mother, reflecting on the cultural insights gained during the trip. Participants expressed a desire to return to China, with Jeremy Pouchot mentioning his aspiration to visit the Great Wall and explore more of the country's rich history and architecture. Francisco J. Núñez, the founder and artistic director of YPC, praised the efforts made to facilitate this cultural exchange, emphasizing the importance of continued interactions between the younger generations of both nations.
